<ayaka> tllim, sorry, I am just arrival at home
<ayaka> seanpaul, are you talking about the android hwc?
<seanpaul> ayaka: yes
<ayaka> seanpaul, for the UI, they are not
<seanpaul> ayaka: oh, so what are they using?
<ayaka> seanpaul, actually it takes some idea from drm hwc
<seanpaul> ayaka: where can i find the source?
<ayaka> it depends on which sdk do you want
<seanpaul> ayaka: for rockpro64, i downloaded the rockpro64_3399v7.1 sdk
<ayaka> let me have a check
<seanpaul> i thought it was using "hardware/rockchip/hwcomposer"
<ayaka> yes it is
<seanpaul> ayaka: that's a fork of drm_hwcomposer
<ayaka> seanpaul, yes. but a little different
<ayaka> there is a IP called RGA which would help in 2d render
<seanpaul> ayaka: yeah, there's a lot that has been changed
vagrantc has joined #linux-rockchip
<ayaka> seanpaul, I would rather said it is a different thing than a fork
<ayaka> only the final render method is the same
<ayaka> but object render or mixer is the different
<seanpaul> ayaka: feel free to call it whatever makes you happy :) i certainly didn't mean fork in an offensive way, i meant it as the drm_hwcomposer repo was cloned and changed to be rockchip specific
<ayaka> actually I don't care about that either, as I didn't use android

<ayaka> adding two plugins would be much easier as long as you can accept exporting some function
<ayaka> ^^^ wrong channel

<amstan> For anyone with a Chromebook Flip C101 aka bob wanting uart, checkout: https://www.chromium.org/chromium-os/ccd https://www.sparkfun.com/products/14746
<amstan> asciilifeform: i know you might find it useful ^ enjoy

<asciilifeform> amstan: the one i built in june ( http://www.loper-os.org/?p=2415 ) works great, but thanks
<asciilifeform> and it isn't as if one can do anything useful with it, with the tivoized chip ( for readers who are unaware -- http://www.loper-os.org/?p=2433 << review . )
<adj_> asciilifeform, have you done any progress?
<adj_> samsung chromebook plus v2 is based on an Intel SOC, as soon as V1 stock empties, c101pa will be the only rk3399 chromebook
<asciilifeform> adj_: i burned a shameful amt of time on reversing the vendor fw, ( see http://btcbase.org/log/2018-06-25#1829533 & elsewhere in that chan log for detail ) , discovered that good % of it -- incl. the rsa keys -- does not correspond to the published code. but so far found no obvious break.
tllim has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer]
<asciilifeform> until and unless cr50 is breakable, the c101pa is worthless to me.
<asciilifeform> extracted the keys themselves; can be seen here: http://btcbase.org/log/2018-06-26#1829605 .
<asciilifeform> amstan: i like my uart plug more , it works 100% and consists of simply 2 resistors.
<asciilifeform> cost me all of 10 $ to make.
<amstan> asciilifeform: yes, i agree, you really don't need a hub, you can just follow the instructions from https://www.chromium.org/chromium-os/ccd#TOC-Making-your-own-cable
<amstan> but it comes in snazzy orange!
<asciilifeform> lol
<asciilifeform> at some point i might try glitching cr50 with emp; but currently hands full elsewhere.
