still want to get that nes classic but seems hard to come by
<KotCzarny>
how did you find out it might be allwinner? cant see specs links
<codekipper>
BTW....have HDMI, I2S, SPDIF(not yet tested) and normal audio working on my Orange PI 2 on mainline.
<codekipper>
tech specs are posted just above "Special Thanks:"
<KotCzarny>
ahm, didnt go that far. h3, lol
<KotCzarny>
any links what software they are using?

but armbian doesnt support h3 yet
<KotCzarny>
:)

at least with mainline
<scelestic>
not?
<scelestic>
oh right
<scelestic>
mainline on my h3 work pretty nice but i dont need audio/video

Is it must to have CONFIG_BT_L2CAP enabled in order for bluetooth device to work ?

Does the kconfig help tell you what that does?

Hello to all :) I have question: Is it possible to define APB1 clock source (PLL1 with dividers) in kernel device tree ? Or need to patch clock driver or U-boot initialisation ?
<ElBarto>
you can probably use assigned-parents property in the dts for that (is apb1 in under /clocks, not with sunxi-ng)
<ElBarto>
but the real question is why ?
<ElBarto>
I'm not too familiar with clocks in linux but if you request a freq that can't be made with current parent, I think that the clock framework will test with all the parents freq
<ElBarto>
and switch parent if a better freq is founded
afaerber has joined #linux-sunxi
<Pe3ucTop>
I need high speed UART , so with default 24Mhz oscilator setting I get max : /16 = 1.5Mbps
VargaD has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds]
<Pe3ucTop>
I need to select PLL6 1 and define dividers: 5 or 6 to get 12.5 or 10 Mbps
VargaD has joined #linux-sunxi
<Pe3ucTop>
ElBarto: but, does it mean that there is posibiliti to pass needed frequency to APB1 clock ? I thin that this is only for UART node, not for APBx ?
<ErwinH>
I'm probably overlooking something stupid, but when I try to create an image with a new u-boot (Lichee or OrangeLibre) I get an toc1 magic error. What am I missing?

Position of connectors fits exactly and specs also. And as software they use http://orange314.com/RetrOrangePi based on Armbian.

<MoeIcenowy>
tkaiser: are you feeling similar ;-)
<MoeIcenowy>
oh something to mention: one of my friend used armbian on Nano Pi NEO
<tkaiser>
KotCzarny: The SATA ports on this BPi-R2 are most probably provided by one ASM1061 hanging off a single PCIe 2 lane
<tkaiser>
MoeIcenowy: ?
<KotCzarny>
tkaiser: is it a good chip?
<tkaiser>
KotCzarny: better ask google. I also don't know whether the MediaTek SoC can saturate a PCIe lane or cope with high IO bandwidth. And since it's the worst vendor ever we will not know until someone bought this stuff and tested it.
<KotCzarny>
lets see
<MoeIcenowy>
tkaiser: the device tree on Orange Pi One do not match it so well
<MoeIcenowy>
KotCzarny: as I heard, the SATA on bpi-r2 is UASP
<MoeIcenowy>
tkaiser: especially LEDs
<tkaiser>
MoeIcenowy: red vs blue? And what has SATA to do with UASP?
juri_ has joined #linux-sunxi

that makes it tempting. but mediatek. and banana. eh.
<MoeIcenowy>
tkaiser: the MAC LEDs are not working
<MoeIcenowy>
I forgot which LED...
<KotCzarny>
tkaiser, if its an usb chip ;)
<KotCzarny>
hmm, is there a way to reset hdmi? or make it reread/redetect edid?
<KotCzarny>
(other than reconnecting cable)
<tkaiser>
KotCzarny: Well, maybe they're dumb enough to combine USB with an USB-to-SATA bridge and a multiplexer behind to ensure performance being as low as possible.
<KotCzarny>
did they switch to multi cell batteries?
<KotCzarny>
or just got a batch of connectors cheap and 4 pins are NC ;)
<tkaiser>
KotCzarny: No, just follow the link, those morons are not able to understand that their customers maybe want to use the accessories that are advertised. But those are not available.
<tkaiser>
And on their famous gitbook they did not even mention the type of this connector until today since Mike asked. They're so stupid, it's close to unbelievable.
<tkaiser>
And now think about buying MediaTek based BPi-R2. There's no linux-sunxi community around to fix software and documentation. You're literally lost with this vendor.
<KotCzarny>

Their documentation is just stupid copy&paste from various sources. And even if you tell them that their boards have 3 custom leds and not just 1 or one USB host port less or that DRAM is not LPDDR3 (732 MHz) but DDR3 (672 MHz) they simply don't give a sh*t. I've never seen such a bunch of careless ignorants.

The only advantage of this M2 Ultra thingie are SATA and GbE (the battery can not be used to power a SATA disk so no UPS mode and until now no single battery is known showing the right connector). So why do people want to buy this board when they've Android in mind?
