If I'm using a cubietruck as NAS, what kind of wattage can I expect to be using? I want to use it and link up an SSD for file storage, but not if electricity costs will be astronomical
your hdd will eat 10x more power than the board
that's why I'll be using an SSD
still, it will eat more than the board
The board will probably be inactive most of the time, and I only need the filesystem irregularly (some days, maybe not at all), so I could power down the SSD when it's not in use?
then electricity use comes down to basically keeping the kernel and server daemons alive
really, if you use ~1usd/month of electricity..
and that's an overstatement even
I guess I'll just have to try it, is there a way to log power usage from within the OS or will I have to use a power meter?
only on boards with pmic
ie. Axx socs
What should you plug the DC barrel plug into anyway? so far, I've been running my board off my laptop when I needed it, but if I want to run a server on it, I'm going to need a proper solution

wens: MoeIcenowy: since the new pineh64 is a bit different from the eval we have, does send a new "DT" like sun50i-h6-pineh64-eval could be a helpfull ? I want to add mine in kernelci, and without that I cannot use it (due to the change in the PHY regulator)
did anyone get occasional RCU stalls on 5.2 on A64?
