Hello. Looking for a calculator of lcd settings in system configuration (to edit resolution from 800x480 to 1280x720; display physically is 1280x720 - checked by overriding display resolution with adb), next parameters need to be adjusted: lcd_dclk_freq , lcd_vt , lcd_hbp, lcd_ht (from Wiki page - https://linux-sunxi.org/Fex_Guide#lcd.5B0.2F1.5D_configuration ). I have values only for
<UJIbU4>
800x480 and 1024x600. Also there are some kind of vertical stripes if you look closely on default firmware with 800x480 resolution, might be wrong value of one of mentioned parameters?

Hi there! I have a problem with my Sunvell R69. It has Allwinner H3 inside and I have Android on it. I want to change the way it gets shut down by remote controller. For now, pressing power button makes it go to sleep and holding it powers off the device. I want to power it off when the button on remote is pressed. Is there a way to make it happen?

It's worth mentioning that a problem in sleep forced me wanting to do this. When went to sleep, after some minutes, the device randomly wakes up. I have no idea about the cause and so I'm trying to find a workaround by shutting down instead of sleeping the device
<KotCzarny>
wrong channel, i guess
<KotCzarny>
unless you run mainline kernel on it
<mahdiiiiii>
I compile Android from the source and I use Linux 4-4. I want to know which part of kernel I need to modify to change the behavior.
<buZz>
why run such old a kernel

<[TheBug]>
buZz: he is using the Android 7 SDK it sounds like, he must also enjoy brewing coffee on the SoC
<[TheBug]>
buZz: Android 7 SDK was released with a 4.4 kernel series kernel for H3/H5
<buZz>
hehe
<buZz>
maybe there needs to be some angry blog about 'android is not linux' explaining why
<[TheBug]>
bigger issue is there is basically no thermal handling in the A7 SDK kernel so effectively if your not using a big heatsink and fan on that already crap Sunvell R69 H2+ then the things liable to start a fire
<[TheBug]>
There is a reason H3Droid didn't release A7
<buZz>
H2+ is similar to H3?
<buZz>
i didnt know that
<[TheBug]>
yes same family of chips H2+ is just a dumbed down H3 (my opinion would lead me to believe it's like 'binning' ) where they lock the chips that can't quite do 1.2Ghz down to 1Ghz and sell as H2+
<buZz>
nice nice
<[TheBug]>
s/opinion/understanding
<buZz>
maybe that 'pi zero' sized H2+ board is nice afterall then
<buZz>
just a bit pricey

The thermal problem seems to be partially solved in my Sdk. :)
<mahdiiiiii>
AFAIK the shutdown procedure is not handled by Android in my Sdk. It's done directly by kernel and because of that I don't see any Android dialog or log about going to sleep or shutting down.
<mahdiiiiii>
If I want to be precise, the sleep procedure is handled by codes in drivers/soc/sunxi/pm , power, and arisc. But I don't know how can I force it to shut down instead of going to sleep.

mahdiiiiii: no it isn't, don't talk out your butt, there is only one SDK out there for it and believe me, thermals are not good
<[TheBug]>
if you arn't using heatsink and fan your probably cooking that thing
<[TheBug]>
I know, I have 3 Sunvell R69s and I have done plenty of testing
<[TheBug]>
and the Sunvell to begin with is a piece of garbage pretty much
<[TheBug]>
memory is poor quality and often has to be under clocked
<[TheBug]>
just... eww
<[TheBug]>
anyways I don't have an answer to your question as I don't think you will find one, the only person who I know probably would have known your answer has already spoken in here and obviously didn't make any suggestions, so I am gonna say... good luck :)
<mahdiiiiii>
There may be only one Sdk, but I think there should be a fix for my problem, cause I've found an image, in which the device goes to shut down immediately after pressing the power button.
