<ndufresne> paulk-leonov: started testing with cedrus now, I've also setup ffmpeg to compare, but the decoding seems broken with ffmpeg, I use kwiboo's ffmpeg branch
<ndufresne> Any idea what I should be using ?
<ndufresne> key frames seems to work, breaks on the delta
florian has quit [Ping timeout: 246 seconds]
<ndufresne> paulk-leonov: ok, found the issue, the DPB index is hacked in ffmpeg to pass the the reference type, this needs to be fixed in the uapi for sure

<jernej> ndufresne: kwiboo recently updated his branch and splitted commits in a way that's easier do differentiate which commits are needed for which kernel and which hack
<jernej> s/do/to/
tdebrouw has quit [Quit: Leaving.]
lurchi__ is now known as lurchi_
<ndufresne> jernej: ah, didn't think of looking at the log, but it works now by simply placing the index to leaving the upper two bits to 0
<ndufresne> jernej: now I'm working on the driver a little, as it is not following the spec in regard to format propagation between src and destination, which actually makes the driver pretty unsafe
<ndufresne> ou can set the CAPTURE queue format smaller then required, and it nicely crash as expected
<ndufresne> we also need to fix the register programming, as it breaks if you decode more then one video at the same time (if they have different resolution)
sunshavi has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<jernej> that should be fixed with recent patches from smaeul
sunshavi has joined #linux-sunxi
<jernej> it's not merged yet, though
<ndufresne> ah missed that one on the ML, pretty trivial
<ndufresne> I'll apply it, and write the width/height propagation on top
<ndufresne> I see why I missed it I only notice the runtime PM bit
<ndufresne> but of course it's another way to hit this isssue
<jernej> how do you know if capture size is too small?
<ndufresne> userspace will set it twice for H264, once through S_FMT(OUT) but also through the SPS control
<ndufresne> the capture width/height should be slaved to that
<ndufresne> also, if you strictly implement the spec workflow, the default path would be, S_FMT(OUT), G_FMT(CAP)
<ndufresne> so if you don't propagate, the flow in the spec fails (that's what happen in gst)
<ndufresne> jernej: something like this I think, https://paste.centos.org/view/25faffec
<ndufresne> I'll submit when I it gain more testing
