cfbolz changed the topic of #pypy to: PyPy, the flexible snake (IRC logs: https://quodlibet.duckdns.org/irc/pypy/latest.log.html#irc-end ) | use cffi for calling C | if a pep adds a mere 25-30 [C-API] functions or so, it's a drop in the ocean (cough) - Armin

<mattip> any thoughts about issue 3351 where calling "con.execute(sql, parameters)" seems to hit a race condition?
<mattip> should we be locking around cffi calls to sqlite3?

<mattip> there are own tests failing on 3.7 due to options configuration and "threads", this fixes them
<mattip> does that look right?
<mattip> thread became an "essential module" for py3.7
<mattip> so why is it not in "default"?
<pmp-p> the python module thread is only essential to asyncio and subprocesses things afaik
<pmp-p> you can still startup interpreter without it
