<manumanumanu>
I want to have a uniform way of accessing a sequence in racket, i.e: turning something like '(1 2 3) or 42 into a sequence I can iterate over. It needs to be ok fast. What is the difference between sequence-generate and sequence->stream?
<manumanumanu>
sequence-generate it is!

<nan`>
hello. i am using racket from emacs and i noticed that the interpreter error messages do not seem very useful
dbmikus has joined #racket
<nan`>
racket-mode seems to just call racket on the file and the error message for example tells me an application has the wrong number of args but doesn't point to which application that is.
<nan`>
is there any way to make the racket error messages more verbose so i can debug earlier? Drracket is very nice for this but i do prefer to work in an editor.
<nan`>
earlier=easier
<nan`>
excuse me, actually looking closer it does tell me which application it is after all, but the topmost line number is not the line of the application. i wonder if it would be good and how hard it would be to modify racket to allow skipping directly to the bad application in editors like emacs

<samth>
nan`: I'm not sure exactly what you're seeing; maybe you can post what the error message is?
<samth>
nan`: also, you can use the configuration of racket-mode to turn on errortrace, which is on by default in DrRacket but off by default in racket-mode and will improve the stack traces
