chicken is indeed nice, but the docs were very confusing for me, specially after the 4 to 5 migration, several times I was reading the docs and trying something that didn't work just to later realize I was reading the v4 docs instead of v5, and sometimes I coulnd't even find the thing I wanted on the v5 docs

Not everything has been migrated: it's done on demand and as people have time to work on it. Most migrations are easy, but if nobody asks, nothing is done.

I found http://wiki.call-cc.org/porting-c4-to-c5 pretty good, and the chicken-users list is *extremely* helpful if you run into problems, so migrating without that much experience is a thing.
