<postmodern> with virtus 1.0.0, can you just manually include the modules?
<postmodern> include Virtus::Model, etc
<postmodern> feel like Virtus::Builder is over complicating things
<postmodern> hey nice, you can

<dkubb> elskwid: did solnic share any direction with you for his future plans w/virtus, or are you mostly going to make sure 1.0.0 is supported as-is until he gets back?

<solnic> postmodern: you should use the builder, including modules directly touches private API. the new convention is to use the builder to build your own module and include it. like MyApp::Model = Virtus.model(some_opts) and then in your models class User; include MyApp::Model; end
<solnic> elskwid: we should have that in the new docs ^^^
<solnic> anyway, I just stepped in for a sec to answer questions cause I forgot to do it yesterday, gonna log off now, cheers and tty some time later this year ;)
solnic has left #rom-rb [#rom-rb]
<postmodern> still seems like needless complexity
<postmodern> er maybe "over-configurability"
<postmodern> would prefer something like: include Virtus::Model.new do ... end
<postmodern> bbl

<dkubb> mbj: you said you're going to do some oss work while in Kenya, what kinds of things were you thinking of doing? I'm mostly asking to make sure I coordinate with what you're doing
<dkubb> I was thinking about finishing up wrap/unwrap and then helping with SQL generation
<mbj> dkubb: for now: Primary target is to overcome jetlag ;)
<mbj> Awake for 24+ hours now. With 0.5-2h sleep intervals.

<dkubb> snusnu: I'm going to have wrap/unwrap in the next few days
<dkubb> then hopefully I won't be a blocker for relationships
<postmodern> dkubb, is there a website or tool for creating gantt charts?
<postmodern> dkubb, or a task dependency chart
<postmodern> dkubb, would be helpful if we could see how everything fits together and what's blocking what
<dkubb> I suppose you could create a dag to represent the dependencies and use graphviz to visualize it

<dkubb> postmodern: most of our dependencies seem to be fairly coarse grained
<dkubb> postmodern: much of me asking "what do you want to work on" is mostly just to see what people are interested in at the moment as much as anything
