mihael_k33hl: Note as a future tip: When an error message does not make sense, you can simply use pry by dropping a binding.pry into your code, and then interactive debug the code. With pry-byebug you get debugger capabilities too.

So methods are defined as private method on Object and thus available basically everywhere, including inside lambdas

i'm trying to understand rbenv. i'm from python, so I'm trying to map rbenv onto virtualenv, but they are different. When I say, "rbenv local 2.3.1", it doesn't create a local environment, it makes a 2.3.1 installation in my home directory, so all projects that use 2.3.1 will share the same set of gems, is that right?

I'm testing by connecting to a server which is signed by my private CA (cacert.pem). This succeeds. I can try to connect to a server with a self-signed or expired cert, and it fails (as expected). There's no set rule for how many tests are enough, it's really a balance between how critical your app is, how important this particular section of your app is, how frequently you change the code in this section, the impact of an error in those changes, etc.

I have destroy_user_session_path in my routes, link_to('Logout', destroy_user_session_path, :method => :delete) in my view, but getting No route matches [GET] "/users/sign_out". ctcrnitv: You don't load ruby. All that chruby does is provide a simple shell command (chruby) that changes path and gem_home. As such you just need to load two files to provide that functionality, and then you can use chruby.
