<mePy2[m]> what’s Solvespace web? o.o A solvespace program accessible from the browser?
<whitequark> yes
<whitequark> it's a prototype and not really usable yet
<whitequark> but it does work as a technology demo
<whitequark> let me upload it for you somewhere...
<whitequark> wait, no, that doesn't work
<mePy2[m]> web assembly?
<mePy2[m]> It is SO cool!
<mePy2[m]> Anyway magnificent
<whitequark> yeah, it uses wasm
<whitequark> except i upgraded emscripten and everything is completely broken
<mePy2[m]> I like it a lot
<whitequark> the problem is that solvespace is not really built in a way that works well on the web
<whitequark> e.g. it expects to be able to read loose files in the filesystem
<whitequark> ok yeah the wasm build seems to be well and truly broken
<_whitenotifier-f> [solvespace/solvespace] whitequark pushed 1 commit to emscripten [+5/-0/±11] https://git.io/Jf1dw
<whitequark> if you're interested in it, you can try to investigate why it crashes now
<_whitenotifier-f> [solvespace/solvespace] whitequark 4d7145a - Add a very experimental Emscripten port.

<mePy2[m]> whitequark: You are a POWER9 user too? – I am not :C, PowerPC user anyway but :/ ... :)
<mePy2[m]> I’m P9 fan... that’s all :)
<whitequark> mePy2[m]: nope, but considering
<mePy2[m]> Oh... nice! I think nice things are going on there :P
<mePy2[m]> Too many things to learn though 🤦🏻‍♂️
<swivel> hard to justify the expense of a POWER9 machine with what AMD is putting out these days
