<flip214>
Creating a cube, and subtracting the rotation of an arc (via lathe) gives me many naked edges and interfering triangles. Can I build such a difference at all?
<flip214>
The screen output is garbled as long as the lathe's solid model isn't suppressed -- but that might be a driver issue?.
<flip214>
hmmm, no, seems to be a solvespace issue... a stl output file is broken in the same way.
<whitequark>
yeah
<whitequark>
yet another of the geometric backend bugs
<flip214>
so I can only approximate with a number of cubes in different sizes?
<flip214>
can arcs only be created (automatically) on workplace faces, or can I make all corners of a cuboid rounded?
<flip214>
Basically I'd like to make either rounded edges (vertical to horizontal, from the workspace's POV) and/or rounded corners (along all three edges)
<flip214>
subtracting the "outer" part of a sphere (sphere surface to cube faces) would work -- minus the bug...

<flip214>
when multiple lines or points are coincident, is there a way to switch between these? I need to get rid of some duplicates.
<flip214>
Can I change the order of workplanes? I created a new one, extracted it, cloned the workplane, and extracted - the latter extraction (the smaller one) is now before the earlier created, and so can't subtract volume
<flip214>
simple patching in the file ;)
<whitequark>
corners of a cuboid rounded: nope, solvespace doesn't have chamfer or fillet
<whitequark>
coincident lines: nope, but that's planned
