I'm considering accepting BTC from clients, but I don't see myself using it. Seems like the decentralized part backfired when people started needing to make their own ASICs to mine

I'm trying since over a year to come up with a way to accept BTC for an official shop (tax and all), seems it's unobtainium

a payment processor run by a trustworthy entity that would accept BTC and instantly converts them into EUR which get transferred to a German bank account then, is very hard to find
<DocScrutinizer05>
particularly when you don't want to manually mess with that process each time

DocScrutinizer05: You haven't heard of BitPay? https://bitpay.com/
<DocScrutinizer05>
I guess they had some pitfall in their fineprint, or simply with the bank accounts they are willing to transfer to, or whatever

cr1901_modern: You can accept Bitcoin but not use it yourself--that's what the various payment processors are for (Coinbase, BitPay, etc.).
<DocScrutinizer05>
since I'm a total BTC virgin and also not the webmaster of our company, I didn't look into the details

cyrozap: That's what I meant :P.
