<balrog> Foone, ej5: maybe you can help me with this: my dad has a ton of test equipment components for hp, tektronix, etc... are people interested in that stuff and where would I reach out?
<balrog> he's at the point where he wants to get rid of them
<andlabs> components?
<andlabs> or whole units?
<balrog> components
<balrog> lots of "specialty" stuff
<ej5> hard to say, it depends on how new it is too
<andlabs> well you would also have to say
<andlabs> afk

<cr1901_modern> https://twitter.com/cr1901/status/1366189813016231936 Well, this is a thing that happened...

<Foone> a simple, common problem in my experience. it's haunted.
<cr1901_modern> Well it would be nice if the error code gave me an more precise address other than "it's somewhere in these 4096 bytes"
<cr1901_modern> I honestly don't know what could cause this. It's not a power problem; I remove the floppy controller and the issue persists
<cr1901_modern> Oh right... the floppy drive I use for experiments, albeit not often these days, still works as of yesterday. So that was a nice surprise.
<cr1901_modern> Figure it would die being exposed to the "elements" (dust), but I kept it clean. Still wish I had an enclosure for it
<cr1901_modern> (In case you didn't know yet... I didn't)
<whitequark[m]> cr1901_modern: sweet!! thank you and ValleyBell
