abrasive: would you accept a patch that drops the autoboot time for gk802 to less than 30 seconds?
<projectgus>
maybe 8?
<projectgus>
30 seconds is a really long time :P

<projectgus>
most of the way to a nice little debian 'netinst' installer image
<projectgus>
can run the debian installer, and can perform a couple of little hacks to get a working kernel image and bootloader on there when it finishes
<projectgus>
just need to finish automating the process
<projectgus>
(am using recovery button as an indication you want to install over the serial port)
<abrasive>
ah, debian installer.
<abrasive>
i should finish my arch installer too
<abrasive>
i was discouraged by no GPU.
<projectgus>
yeah, that doesn't bother me so much
<projectgus>
i think the linaro hwpack approach is probably best for that still
<projectgus>
at least until ARM closed-source development practices mature a bit
<abrasive>
i've spent quite a while trying to get yocto up. it's surprisingly difficult.
<abrasive>
i guess it's still relatively immature
<abrasive>
and i was quite enthusiastic after the early successes with kernel and uboot.
