Guys I have unlimited Google Drive / One Drive provided by my university. Is there a way to map one of the two Cloud Providers and use it with an IPFS node? I mean, mount on /media/gdrive and put my repository there.

swedneck:permaweb.io: cap (Discord) I've seen issues with mounting them as a drive as IPFS acts thinks of the drives like actual disks. I know google drive has limits on how often can be written/read from. The way files are broken up into multiple chunks easily goes over this limit.
<vaultec81[m]>
Not IPFS's fault but something to consider.
<swedneck2>
that would require some modification to how the mounting works then
<vaultec81[m]>
Yeah
<vaultec81[m]>
Though maybe a custom repo work better?
<swedneck2>
doubt it
<swedneck2>
the best solution would just be to make the gdrive mount only sync every so often
<swedneck2>
and between that it would just keep the data on disk somewhere
<swedneck2>
how do you mount it rn?
<vaultec81[m]>
Thats dependant on how is it mounted in the first place.
<vaultec81[m]>
rclone

hmm
BigDuckEnergy420 is now known as BigDuckEnergyDis
<swedneck2>
feels like that should have a configurable sync frequency
<capDiscord[m]>
that's what I thought, vault
<swedneck2>
there are FUSE mounts for gdrive though
<capDiscord[m]>
I mean I don't have use for that much storage I don't know any other use for it
