Hi everyone. Is there a way to have browser spawned node to connect to a private swarm? I can't figure out how to have it to connect to "server" or localhost node (part of the private swarm) which provides a WebSocket service...and I don't want browser nodes to go through a gateway to access "private" swarm content. How to provide the swarm key in the browser node configuration or customized libp2p bundle? Does it work
<c0c00n[m]>
through WS? Is it possible for two browser node instance to connect through WebRTC providing the swarm key if it's ever possible? Any help would be really much appreciated
<c0c00n[m]>
BTW, I don't care if it involves key divulgation
<lidel>
c0c00n[m], afaik only go-ipfs supports private swarms at the transport layer: https://github.com/ipfs/go-ipfs/blob/v0.4.22/docs/experimental-features.md#private-networks , js-ipfs does not implement that feature yet, however you could achieve "private swarm" with js-ipfs nodes running in browser by disabling public bootstrappers with your own and using self-hosted signaling server for peer discovery (eg.
<lidel>
websocket-star or newer websocket-stardust).
