<TheSilentLink> mack-: does it have to be in /storage? I have film on a usb stick and no matter what I do I can't seem to get it to appear in movies
<TheSilentLink> if I click scan to library it gets stuck in a infinite loop constantly asking for the film name even it is in the box
<TheSilentLink> yep that works no idea why it won't work with when it's on the usb stick
<TheSilentLink> it seems that if it can't find the metadata maybe it doesn't add to the movies library...

<lrusak> Check the debug log
<mack-> TheSilentLink: yes, that's why I chose one-word titles I knew tmdb scraper would automatically add. It doesn't auto add if the title you give is ambiguous.

<mack-> it's also possible you didn't specify Movies as media type when you added the source. Mine defaults to None when adding a new source.

<TheSilentLink> yep so does mine but I did movies. Well it seems it is an issue with the plugin and not kodi or libreelec. It does the same on standard kodi 19 installed on ubuntu

<mack-> if you're using The Movie Database as the information provider, go to themoviedb.org and look up your movies to see how the title should look to match. Or you can type that title in the box you said was popping up (it probably just need a disambiguation year). Or, you can just rename your files to the examples I provided :)
<chewitt> when I rip files I google the film name to get the release year, then create a folder like "name (2010)" with file "name (2010).mkv" and I never have scraping issues
<mack-> (another possible reason for the scraper to fail is no internet access from the LE box)
<chewitt> if it's prompting for names that's not the case, the repeated prompting is normally caused by not being able to find anything that matches
<chewitt> make sure you set the content type on the source to movies, else it will default to TVShows IIRC
<mack-> ah. good to know. I've never tried a scrape with no internet to know where it would fail in the process.
<chewitt> no internet will be fairly obvious from a debug log
<chewitt> as will the scraping issue.. scraper errors are normally fairly verbose and readable

<BallSublime> Hi again, I now built Kodi with the LFE patch (https://github.com/osmc/osmc/blob/master/package/mediacenter-osmc/patches/all-113-add-support-to-mix-LFE.patch) included. Is there an easy way to try out my custom built Kodi on LibreElec without reinstalling? If not, how can I include "my" version of Kodi in a custom image of LibreElec?
<lrusak> Add the patch to the LE build system and build an image
<BallSublime> Where can I add patches to the build system?
<lrusak> In the patches folder
<BallSublime> I guess, packages/mediacenter/kodi/patches would be the right place, correct?

<chewitt> correct
<chewitt> then build an image, then place either the .tar file or .img.gz file in /storage/.update/ and reboot
