since bumping from 5.2.x to 5.3-rc3 .. I'm unable to get Kodi running

and the only messages logged complain about Kodi attempting to open swrast (which we don't build)

mesa is built with kmsro + lima + panfrost

the only changes in our buildsystem are a bump from mesa master ~1 month ago to current HEAD, and the 5.3 kernel bump

no changes to Kodi or any other meaningful package

(and clean rebuild of the entire distro image .. LibreELEC)

chewitt: 1 month of mesa master has probably a lot more impact than the kernel bump, we didn't change much in the kernel in 5.3

chewitt: fwiw I just built a 5.3-rc3 kernel for my pine64 and it loads fine and runs kmscube

amlogic kernels are a moving target, although the GX hardware that uses lima and panfrost is more stationary

the bifrost stuff is where all the drama occurs

as usual.. the moment you ignore stuff to concentrate on work for a bit, everything breaks :)

nice big kernel splat from ao_cec module, which is for G12 not GX devices
