<Viciouss> using the mainline kernel, I can boot into buildroot and lima works fine, but after merging stuff over to the android common kernel lima doesn't even get probed. config looks ok, the driver is compiled and visible in sysfs, the lima dt node is also there. I tried 5.4, 5.8 and android mainline with the same result. what else could I try?

<Viciouss> I bisected my way through, this commit in the android common kernel breaks lima for me: https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/common/+/eb2d94d24713366509023d16a7eef75909b5bf33
<Viciouss> It doesn't seem to affect lima in the mainline kernel though as this was merged into mainline in 5.7, so there is more to it than this commit
