it would be useful to create a shared todolist somewhere, (linux-rockchip.info for example). Mostly for kernel stuffs (and perhaps userspace tools and bootloader if it makes sense to you), the idea is to be able to know who does what and put your name near to your assigned "item".

hramrach_ this is what I did many times. Either push the analyzer probes around to see what happens or disassemble the kernel and see, which GPIOs are related to what piece of hardware

But there is thir gpio script out there and if your hardware manufacturer has coded correct, he named the GPIOs a bit and th gpio script can tell you rhese names.

this is often not the case with RK. Even RK supplies a good SDK, OEMs often implement their own mechanism to get the kernel patched for the current tablet hardware

(so the _script_ is only really useful for helping to automatically find the bt/wifi pins, but the user space app "gpio" that goes with the .ko just dumps the pins and their states, which is possibly more useful for working out other pins
