<LongChair> stdint: hello, i would have a question regarding video colorspaces. How are they supposed to be handled on rockchip devices. MPP see to allow retrieving the video colorspace, but then what are we supposed to do with it. is there any API to set the colorspace that is isued for display ? I have a few videos that are in bt709 colorspace and they are displayed very very dark. Is there any way to control that ?
<LongChair> @xevious : well Audio is more Kwiboo's playground as far as kernel is concerned :)
<LongChair> we have a patch for PL330 .. but i'm not sure if it's hackish or if it could be upstreamed
<ventosus> I'm having a strange problem with an rk3188 board
<ventosus> the network (rk29 vmac) does receive packets, but sent packets never show up on the net
<ventosus> although it thins it has sent them...
<ventosus> s/thins/thinks
<ventosus> Am I missing some magical configuration ?

<xevious> LongChair: I built a kernel with Kwiboo's macphy, audio, and pl330 branches merged, and it's playing audio correctly now.
<ayufan> xevious: mine is missing these patches?
<ayufan> I remember that audio and pl330 is merged
<xevious> ayufan: Which one of yours? 4.4 or 4.13?
<ayufan> 4.4 and 4.13 :)
<xevious> I'm fairly certain audio didn't work on either for me. Let me reboot and check.
<ayufan> the latest 4.4 does have Kwiboo sound patches
<ayufan> on 4.13 it will not work as it is not implemente
<ayufan> d
<xevious> ayufan: Which branch? release-4.4-wip?
<ayufan> yes
<xevious> I've got one built from commit 08404cda8650a27b32170c5f764beec6a35bbf56. I'll copy it over and test sound playback with it.
<xevious> ayufan: I'm unable to type anything in via the serial port. Have you ever had that happen? I can see all the U-boot and kernel output, then it launches a root shell. It doesn't respond to any of my typing.
<ayufan> nope
<xevious> ayufan: Your 4.4 kernel plays audio correctly.

<xevious> ayufan: Kwiboo has a branch with the MAC address fix on 4.4. That seems to be the only difference between your 4.4-wip branch and the one I made by merging Kwiboo's macphy, audio, and pl330 branches.

<ayufan> xevious: I rely on macaddr to be taken from uboot, take a look at my uboot/maline-master
<ayufan> it generates mac from serial and then I do pass it via extlinux
<beeble> ayufan: you may want to take a look at http://git.denx.de/?p=u-boot/u-boot-rockchip.git;a=commit;h=60d7c50945d65185a5c86c4f52d4671fb59292e3
<ayufan> oh, good to know that ;)
<ayufan> thanks
<beeble> it's not that big of a problem since it only affects the serial# enviroment variable in uboot and the serial number injected into the devicetree. /proc/cpuinfo will still show the correct serialnumber
<beeble> and the mac address is unchanged
