<amstan>
anyway, try without doing that, it might just work with the latest kernel
<m0nt3>
alright
<amstan>
if that's not the case it would be nice if you could bisect it, then we can tell what change and what broke it
<m0nt3>
definitely. i'll be back soon. maybe you'll still be here and i can share progress.
<m0nt3>
or i can send a message
<m0nt3>
idk

i tried 3 different versions
<m0nt3>
current, and the other two.
<m0nt3>
lots of problems
<m0nt3>
:/
<amstan>
m0nt3: did you make sure you used the firmware package too?

<amstan>
veyron-firmware i think?
<m0nt3>
oh
<m0nt3>
darn
<m0nt3>
i only had veyron-libgl
<amstan>
it's not just for graphics
<amstan>
veyron-firmware contains important stuff like wifi drivers
<amstan>
you should keep that package in sync with the kernel
<m0nt3>
i see
<amstan>
what kind of problems?
<m0nt3>
just the no module problem
<m0nt3>
well, let me reboot

firmware-veyron just has the wifi firmware when using the mainline kernel.. it's included in the linux-veyron package
<amstan>
i stand corrected

veyron-libgl should get you gles.. but actual application support is spotty and mostly broken, and it's not being targeted anymore for those reasons
<leming>
a few years ago developers cared about gles to a reasonable extent.. today it's just broken and massively problematic
<leming>
are you using startx? or launching through a dm?
<m0nt3>
startx
<leming>
use a dm.. lightdm or whatever suits your fancy
<m0nt3>
okay. however, i might just put that off until tomorrow. i've been at it all day.

I've got serial output on the A95X R2 (based on the RK3328), but I can't type anything into it: I'm unable to stop autoboot in U-boot, and can't type into the bash prompt that is launched after Linux finishes booting.

Kwiboo: I'm booted up with your 4.4-audio kernel on an A95X R2. Audio is playing twice as fast as it should. Have you had any luck fixing that issue?
