<Ke> I guess there would be a chance to make linux warn about each platform driver probe that failed due to missing driver
<Ke> the question is, why am I the only person that cares about that?

<lurchi_> Ke you may leave out some driver from e.g. the initrd
<Ke> sure, that does not exclude some solution
<Ke> you could eg. have some sort of lspci -k -like functionality parseable from proc or sys
<Ke> right now I am using grep vmlinux with the compatible strings, it's very silly

<mmind00> Ke: for real platform-devices try /sys/devices/platform/* ... these are always created from devicetree and when they have a driver subdirectory/symlink they were bound to an actual driver

<Ke> mmind00: thanks, will check
<Ke> mmind00: will you be doing rockchip tree for linux-4.14
<Ke> I guess it's already there
<mmind00> Ke: not sure what you mean ... I don't do any BSP-like trees normally ... i.e. if you look at my branches on kernel.org you'll see that I'm collecting patches for 4.15 already :-)

<phh> Jagan: you're using libmali's libEGL?
<Jagan> @phh: copied lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libmali-midgard-* to rootfs /usr/lib/
<Jagan> couldn't find libEGL in https://github.com/rockchip-linux/libmali
<phh> yeah well that's not enough, you need to use them in place of mesa's libEGL
<phh> look here for the various symlinks to do
<Jagan> so we can link single libmali-midgard-r12p0-r0p0.so to all lib's
<phh> yup
