vinifr, the LRADV is primarily designed for key/button applications, but it also supports generic ADC mode I think. The touch panel interface is another alternative low frequency ADC if you need one.

yes?

100/full instead of 10/half, around 85M in iperf. feels good
<ssvb>
thanks, that's good to know
<rz2k>
ssvb: I suppose you checked your hw with having right emac_power and emac_link in your .fex?
<rz2k>
I dont quite remember, but it was 100% because of wrong .fex
<rz2k>
it was after someone introduced some intelligent checks in wemac itself, reading various data from .fex or somebody fixing those (because they were working wrong).
<ssvb>
rz2k: there are a number of wemac related legends and weird rituals floating around :)
<oliv3r>
of course once my firefox password storage gets compromised; i'm screwed :p

ssvb: so 'disp' is a nother IP core? How is it calld in the usermanuals? But with g2d missing on a13, that's kinda sucky :(
Soru has joined #linux-sunxi
<ssvb>
oliv3r: disp is mostly represented by DEFE/DEBE in the A13 manual
<ssvb>
oliv3r: A10 manual is incomplete for this part, but A13 documentation bits are good enough and also relevant for A10

oliv3r, it really is not like the conventional ADCs, I agree it fits input and IIO subsystem

vinifr_: what's missing is an IIO -> input layer driver
<oliv3r>
so you can use any iio driver as an input device ;)

hi all. someone try to add a passive heat dissipator glued to SoC of cubieboard? despite i added it to my A10 SoC, i cannot scale more than 1.2Ghz. if i try 1248Mhz, lxde became unstable.

oliv3r, the dram bits patch covers both sun[45]i and sun7i, and also have a couple regressions fixed in the second patch.
<oliv3r>
on github?
<oliv3r>
because i tried to split them up
<oliv3r>
but i'll split them more; i'll go over them again tomorrow if i don't forget

ssvb, ok, thanks. im looking for triks to spped up grapthical feedback. tote player is slow. i already clocked A10 at 1.2Ghz but is not enough.
<ssvb>
utente: do you want fast video decoding?
<utente>
ssvb, if it means to have a fluid totem reproduction, yes.
<utente>
i already recompiled xbmc but the color are falsed.
tzafrir has joined #linux-sunxi
<ssvb>
utente: for xbmc you can workaround this problem by restarting xbmc (exit from it normally, and then run again)
<utente>
oh.. ok.
<ssvb>
utente: somebody may fix this problem in the right way some day
<utente>
an for the other topic?
<ssvb>
for fluid totem you need neon enabled ffmpeg, working xv extension and SD resolution videos
<utente>
how to do?
<ssvb>
which part?
<utente>
how to enabling neon ffmpeg, working xv estentino nad SD resolution?
<ssvb>
neon ffmpeg depends on your linux distro
<utente>
debian
<utente>
but i can recompile ffmpeg if necessary
gohd has joined #linux-sunxi
<ssvb>
debian builds ffmpeg without neon as far as I know, so recompilation is necessary
<utente>
ok.
<utente>
so it is enough to recompile ffmpeg or other thasks are necessary?
<ssvb>
you need to make sure to configure it with neon support
<gohd>
Running 3.0.42+ on allwinner a13 tablet. How can I get the lcd/backlight to turn off?
<ssvb>
utente: and avoid or transcode 1080p videos because the ARM processor is not fast enough to decode them in realtime
<utente>
im still in 720
<utente>
so, there is howto to recompile ffmpeg?
<ssvb>
gohd: you can try "echo 1 > /sys/devices/platform/disp/graphics/fb0/blank"
<utente>
ssvb, to recompile ffmpeg is enough to have a visible speed up? to install xf86-video-sunixfb is a "nice to have" or a "must to have"?
<ssvb>
utente: ffmpeg loses roughtly half of the speed without neon, xv is really critical for scaling video to full screen and provides maybe 20% speed up without scaling
<utente>
ssvb, thanks. fist i will go with ffmpeg recompilig: if not enough, i will do also sunixfb
<gohd>
ssvb: what is this for? /sys/devices/platform/disp/graphics/fb0/state

<gohd>
ssvb: not working, something happend when I sent 1 to state. what is state for?
<ssvb>
gohd: don't know off hand, but you can look in the kernel sources
