<wens>
i did it a bit earlier, and there were minor conflict on the interrupt flags
<wens>
nothing to worry about :)

mripard: yeah, the thing is, i initially blamed the thernet driver, but skbuff is a generic kernel thing :S THe board + sd card is the same, I took it home with me. On my home-network, boom, work network, fine
<oliv3r>
only 2 differences i can imagine, different dhcp server, shielded vs unshielded cables (where i get problems with the shielded cables)

so report it

mripard: ok, i was using sunxi-next from your github, which is older :|

<boycottg00gle>
is there a simple way to get mainline u-boot config used from within a running (running mainline kernel) system?
<boycottg00gle>
or to get the board name/info in some other way?
<ptolts>
thing is I dont even know if the system is up
<ptolts>
I get all the u-boot output
<ptolts>
then "loading kernel"
<mripard>
you don't even have an UART or an ssh connection ?
<ptolts>
nope
<ptolts>
I can't tell if the kernel is working at all
<ptolts>
is there anyway I can get the kernel to dump debug stuff to the screen?
<mripard>
yeah, CONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE
<mripard>
or something alike
<ptolts>
awesome
<ptolts>
thank you

btw I'm really enjoying your companies slide decks
<ptolts>
really well done

mripard: but no driver that will use them, for still some time
<mripard>
nove: even if it's an out of tree driver, it's fine
<zoobab>
hi
<nove>
mripard: ok
<ptolts>
awesome mripard, that did the trick. So it was a corrupted partition on my part.
<nove>
mripard: also, it is the exactly same clocks for a10/a10s/a13/a20, doesn't this asks for a need of something like sunxi-common.dtsi to not have this repeated 4 times
<mripard>
nove: no
<nove>
mripard: ok
<nove>
after reorganizing the my current mess that this is, i will work in it

Hello, I've A33 tablet, it has android 4.4.2.
<vishnu__>
I could able to get root acces, however there is no script.bin file in /dev/block/nanda partition
beboom has joined #linux-sunxi
<hramrach>
there can be script0.bin or so but it's optional
<hramrach>
the actual script.bin is not stored as file anymore
<vishnu__>
below are only files in nanda partition
<hramrach>
then the file may be on one of the raw partitions or part of u-boot
<hramrach>
not exactly easy to extract
<hramrach>
there should be pointer to the file on the running kernel but I would not bet on android having kmem enabled

extracting script.bin seems to be difficult for A33 tablet
<mripard>
nove: the thing is, that sunxi-common would just be a lie
konradoo77 has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds]
<mripard>
because it would actually be something common to all sunxi SoCs, but the A31, the A31s, the A23, the A33, the A80, etc...
konradoo77 has joined #linux-sunxi
<vishnu__>
what do we call A33 as?
<vishnu__>
Sun9i?
<mripard>
sun8i
<mripard>
sun9i is the A80
domidumont has joined #linux-sunxi

<boycottg00gle>
looking at the mainline u-boot i see the defconfigs reference the dtb in CONFIG_FDTFILE. does that mean i can use some default in the boot.cmd?
<boycottg00gle>
it likely is ${fdtfile} ?
<boycottg00gle>
and already in extra env?
<boycottg00gle>
${fdtfile} works
