Turl: can you recheck the lo parameter in LCD mode?
<plaes>
it should be (1600 / 2) - 768 - 16 == 16
<Turl>
plaes: I just ran the fex through ssvb's tool on the wiki
<Turl>
plaes: maybe I copied the sun68i line by mistake?
<Turl>
but it works so I dunno :)

yeah, sun4 vs sun68 difference is basically 1600 / 2 vs 1600 / 1

the mainlining effort page mentions that you are/were working on A31 audio codec driver
<plaes>
do you have the code somewhere?
<mripard>
yeah, but it's not really working
<mripard>
and I haven't worked on it for quite some time
<plaes>
ok, I would like to make sure that every entry in the mainlining effort page has link to code...
<plaes>
if there is code :)

I don't think it's a good policy
<mripard>
having links to all the submitted patches is a good one
<mripard>
but if the code hasn't been submitted, and more so if the code is not working, I really don't see why it should be linked
<plaes>
to at least see that there is some work being done..
<plaes>
there are currently two links in WiP drivers pointing to git trees: A80 USB and V4L driver

feels poked
<plaes>
it was unintentional :P
<mripard>
well, the fact that there is already links to that doesn't make me think of it as a better idea :)

How are PhoenixCard images structured?
<hramrach>
afaik the structure is not known
<hramrach>
logically they contain a bootloader and image to copy to flash
<hramrach>
and since lichee bootloader sources seem to contain code for copying image to flash they probably contain nothing more
<raffahacks>
Why the HELL is that tool closed source?
<raffahacks>
Will a simple dd to sdcard path work?
<hramrach>
if you have a card imege then yes. phoenixcard unpacks a proprietary image, repacks it into a card image and either writes it to a file ar to a card
<raffahacks>
I think I have a proprietary image :(
<hramrach>
the details may depend on exact version of the tool. never used it
<hramrach>
you can probably unpack it with awutils or something
<raffahacks>
Can someone with Windows on his computer help me and make a bootable image from a proprietary image I have?
<libv>
raffahacks: why?

ptolts : how can i check that? I placed the enviorment variable to enable hardware accelartion
<Guest84285>
when I play an hd movie, I only get sound and no image
<Guest84285>
ssvb i compile everything on cubieboard
<ssvb>
Guest84285: buildroot is a tool to generate complete linux images, with added packages for xbmc (presumably done by somebody), it can build xbmc enabled sd card image
<ssvb>
Guest84285: I just recommend to use mplayer for playing hardware decoded videos (with the smplayer gui frontend for extra eye candy)
<ssvb>
Guest84285: that's the most easy and problem free solution for HD video playback
<Guest84285>

<Guest84285>
ssvb, Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device.
<Guest84285>
ssvb, i was using mplayer -vo vdpau -vc ffmpeg12vdpau,ffh264vdpau, [filename]
<ssvb>
Guest84285: maybe mplayer is built without vdpau support

./fel hex 0x1C00024 4
<vishnu>

<vishnu>
there is no change in value read after pressing buttons
<vishnu>
one more thing allwinner has not documented VER_REG in A33 reference manual
<ssvb>
vishnu: ok, anyway, based on the A33 manual, it looks like A33 always boots from the SD card by default, so FEL button is not critical for unbricking there
<ssvb>
vishnu: VER_REG is undocumented, but still should work, you can set bit 15 in it and then read it again
