So maybe FriendlyELEC gets Allwinner folks to work on the driver so TX retransmit issue will be solved by manufacturer?

tkaiser: is the SoC H3 or H5?
<tkaiser>
MoeIcenowy: H5 according to Yuefei.
<MoeIcenowy>
what's the usage of the FPC connector?
<MoeIcenowy>
camera?
<tkaiser>
Yes
<tkaiser>
Voltage regulation as with H3 boards (1.1V/1.3V via GPIO) but 'software not ready'. Same problem 'we' faced with OPi PC2
<MoeIcenowy>
tkaiser: P.S. I've heard from TL Lim that Allwinner did a SoC with a internal Wi-Fi connected via SDIO (maybe a co-packaged XR819?)
xes_ is now known as xes
<tkaiser>
They also release an 'Nano Pi M1 Plus 2' (WTF?). Same as M1 Plus but H3 exchanged with H5. Delayed due to 'software not ready'.
<KotCzarny>
hehe, software from linux sunxi or allwinner?
<MoeIcenowy>
I think it should be allwinner.
<tkaiser>
KotCzarny: the problem is only present in BSP kernel since there communication between arisc and kernel gets somehow lost. With megi's patches voltage regulation on H5 boards with mainline kernel works properly.
<MoeIcenowy>
tkaiser: I sent out a new version of H3/5 OTG patchset targeted on mainline
<MoeIcenowy>
and for xr819 I think for mainline a more suitable way is to change cw1200 driver
<tkaiser>
MoeIcenowy: Great, having 4 real USB host ports on these thingies is really nice. Regarding XR819 vs. cw1200: Did you read the thread on Armbian forum with hmartin's and dgp's tries?
<MoeIcenowy>
where?
<MoeIcenowy>
I didn't follow armbian forum...
<MoeIcenowy>
(because I'm not an Armbian user, although I will recommended people to use Armbian

i suspect kernel crash is there a way to create a trace if that is the case?

if you use uart debug console it should dump oops there

unless it's a hardcrash, then you wont get anything

Hi.
<yann-kaelig>
When a sound output from the analog audio output of cubieboard2, everything is ok, but when I shutdown the OS, I get a horrible buzz from this analog output. Is it something wrong with the design of audio output on cubieboard2 ? or something wrong from the code
<MoeIcenowy>
you shutdown when something is playing?

Hi MoeIcenowy . No but I realize that I say a stupidity ... Is it possible the problem come from my power supply ?

I don't know...

4.10 latest from Archlinux

s/Archlinuk/Archlinux/ARM/
<deskwizard>
beeble: :) thanks for the info! I'll look into that :)

pink and green

BenG83: What's the heat of A64's thermal pad?
<BenG83>
I haven´t done any measurements yet or stress tests, my prototype PCB had the same setup

I was building some kernel and that worked ok with slight throttling
<tkaiser>
BenG83: Hmm... building kernel is something I consider lightweight. Anyway...
<BenG83>
not sure what the thermal resistance of the pad is
<BenG83>
I guess it will need some creative heat sinking for heavy duty loads
<tkaiser>
And more importantly some warnings. The usual 'buy cheap, buy twice' target audience will be excited about a $80 laptop and not understand why it might perform differently than a x86 laptop or premium Chromebook ;)
