MoeIcenowy: the fixed regulator device tree binding has a ramp up delay property you can use
<wens>
much better than hacking it into the driver

wens: in this situation it's not fixed regulator, it's axp20x-regulator, or precisely, dc1sw on axp803

i think it's still available
<wens>
axp20x-regulator uses the standard helper for dt config in the regulator core

<MoeIcenowy>
seems that it will be used in "top_down" mode
<MoeIcenowy>
mripard: so this is really only 32-bit capable -- thus what should I do to convert dma_addr_t to uint32_t?
<MoeIcenowy>
(after dma_set_mask
<montjoie>
prefer u32 to uint32_t
<montjoie>
uint32_t will trigger checkpatch warning
<MoeIcenowy>
use u32 for address?
<jernej>
MoeIcenowy: There are multiple fields which holds some kind of address: lay_top_laddr, lay_bot_laddr, ui_lay_top_haddr, ui_lay_bot_haddr
<MoeIcenowy>
yes
<jernej>
so maybe haddr and laddr fields are combined to 64 bit?
<MoeIcenowy>
but they're all independently holding addresses...
<MoeIcenowy>
but we have only one haddr per ui channel...
<jernej>
true
<MoeIcenowy>
and I don't think Allwinner did any reservation for 64-bit bus -- they've never did any for their IP cores
<jernej>
did you manage to decode what they do? or to compare with A64 code?
<MoeIcenowy>
didn't fully
<jernej>
So if 3 GiB of RAM is max, it still fits nicely to 32 bit address space...
<MoeIcenowy>
but they're all mentioned in de_rtmx.c
<jernej>
I know, I don't have time anymore to do a research for now, but if you find out functionality of all those fields, plese write here :)
<jernej>
bye

I'm having a prolem with booting lxde on an a20 device. USB works in Ubuntu Core cli. When I installed LXDE, when the Ubuntu Loading screen comes up, the USB ports shut off. I've tried just about every supposed fix for this problem, even some involving X.org. Still no USB and the Login screen freezes. Any help would be appreciated.
