try to add my staggered clock changing patch?

if the clock is gated then ungated, it shouldn't matter if they are staggered or not

miasma: USB2 doesn't use '10->8bit' coding (but USB 3.0 and 3.1 Gen 1 do). It's just inefficiency and a bug in mass storage protocol that limit you to somewhere below 40MB/s in reality (slightly exceeding 40 MB/s with UAS)
<MoeIcenowy>
tkaiser: my device is not ASM115x
<MoeIcenowy>
it's NS1068
<tkaiser>
MoeIcenowy: I know but maybere there's also impossible to detect it properly with USB2 while it's possible with UAS3
<tkaiser>
And re Raspberry Pi with Gigabit Ethernet: Doesn't help at all, performance decreases: https://forum.armbian.com/index.php?/topic/3953-preview-generate-omv-images-for-sbc-with-armbian/&do=findComment&comment=28825

KotCzarny: Doesn't matter, A20/R40 is the problem. Doesn't support FIS based switching so concurrent disk access will always be PITA and then SATA implementation of the SoC is crap anyway
<tkaiser>
That _might_ change with H6 in Allwinner land. Add an ASM1061, check performance. If it's worse than now with A20/R40 then Allwinner's PCIe implementation is broken.
<KotCzarny>
yup

If performance looks ok with a disks, do a 'Pro' board using Marvell 88SE9215 (4 SATA ports, FIS based PM support, stupid anyway behind a single PCIe 2.x lane)

can i paste that feature matrix to mainline u-boot? I'm not quite sure which rows do not apply to uboot, definitely audio/codec stuff do not :D
<swiftgeek>
jelle: it's enabled but it actually works in current master (enable H3 EMAC for the nanopi neo) at least on my device - it could be the same for nanopi neo
<jelle>

emac was added in v2016.09

yes

yeah then why it was broken on v2017.03 release for orangepi 2E
<jelle>
swiftgeek: not sure, don't have that board
<swiftgeek>
jelle: but it works on yours with release ?
<jelle>
when I added it for 2017.03, it worked

ie. tftp* commands do not crash ?

jelle: yeah it's really strange, plus2e doesn't get any commits since introduction
<KotCzarny>
because plus2e is just another h3 board that doesnt require anything special
<swiftgeek>
so there had to be more boards with broken emac on v2017.03
<KotCzarny>
unless it's something specific to the chip used
<swiftgeek>
RTL8211E is used i will try looking for that
