<MoeIcenowy>
jernej: P.S. I used the DCSC values you used in your U-Boot driver
<MoeIcenowy>
however the image seems very dark
<MoeIcenowy>
I will now try to tidy up my TVE work and integrate yours work into it
<jernej>
MoeIcenowy: That can be fixed :) Now that some image is shown, it shouldn't be that hard to fix it
<MoeIcenowy>
yes
<MoeIcenowy>
at least I saw penguins ;-) (The Linux boot logo)
<MoeIcenowy>
P.S. the TVE clock seems to be also the channel1 clock of TCON1
<jernej>
uh, I don't guarantee that hdmi driver works, but if you manage to make it load, I can at least debug it
<jernej>
yes, it is
<jernej>
btw, I based on drm-misc-next, because it has a lot of important commits
<jernej>
mostly dw_hdmi related
<MoeIcenowy>
I based on directly linux-next
<jernej>
I'm not sure if drm-misc is already merged in
<jernej>
let me check
<jernej>
it is, so you can try to port patches directly
<jernej>
btw, my commit logs are poor, because it was mostly a marker for me, but I guess you will understand
<jernej>

jernej: it seems to be some code in sun4i_tcon.c that prevented dw-hdmi-sunxi from being probed
<MoeIcenowy>
P.S. I also found a bug in your dw-hdmi-sunxi code: you requested the memory region, but the dw-hdmi code also requested it
<MoeIcenowy>
I finally splitted it into two regions <0x01ee0000 0x10000>, <0x01ef0000 0x10000>, and let the dw-hdmi-sunxi request the second part, leave the first part for dw-hdmi
<MoeIcenowy>
now some graphics is displayed, but it seems to be blinking and the vblank interrupt appears very slowly

Hi, I'm trying to get I2S output on Allwinner R8 (actually an NTC GR8). I managed to get a signal but the MCLK (master clock) is needs to be inverted, others seems correct. Can anyone assist or redirect me to the right direction? Thanks.

BenG83: FYI (s/Y/pine forum/): http://kaiser-edv.de/tmp/4U4tkD/ -- in install-rpi-monitor-for-a64.sh the PatchRPiMonitor_for_sun50iw1p1 function adds an RPi-Monitor template for Pine64 legacy kernel.

a bit busy testing the I2S and SPDIF on the A64 atm
<BenG83>
but seems to work at least with the BSP kernel
<BenG83>
any news on the mainline audio drivers for A64?
<BenG83>
seems like we have a working DAC/SPDIF board at least
<linuxperia>
Hi all. I am trying to port linux to the Allwiner H8 sunx8i CubieTruck Plus board. Have uploaded this patches here adn while they compile i am not sure if i missed something as on booting the image is stuck. Can somebody check this Patches here especially this fex file and tell me if i made some mistake to get u-boot and the linux kernel working ? https://github.com/LinuXperia/lib/commit/43dc42fe
<KotCzarny>
(anyway, trying to dig some info on cubietruck plus)
<KotCzarny>
ahm, its just cb5
<tkaiser>
KotCzarny: CT Plus is like Banana Pi M3 but not that stupid. They managed to make use of both USB2 ports while the SinoVoip morons only use 1 and connect the crappy GL830 SATA and the USB ports to this single USB port.
<KotCzarny>
they mentioned usb3 in old news, guess they corrected it sunce then
<KotCzarny>
*since
<tkaiser>
KotCzarny: better watch out for Cubieboard 6 (just kidding)
<KotCzarny>
cb6 is s500 (actions)

<BenG83>
tkaiser, do you know anyone who has used SPDIF on A64?
<tkaiser>
BenG83: Do you know anyone who connected a display to A64? ;) (nope, no idea)
<BenG83>
heh ok
<BenG83>
I2S works fine, and I get SPDIF to output something, but the format seems wrong
<BenG83>
at least none of my things with SPDIF input works

freemangordon has quit [Quit: Leaving.]
<BenG83>
afaik the factory requires Android for HW testing, and Pine is installing an Ubuntu image after they leave the factory
<tkaiser>
BSP kernel?
<BenG83>
yes
<BenG83>
since no audio driver in mainline and no AXP803
<BenG83>
I have a mainline image with Armbian rootfs that works
<BenG83>
based on MoeIcenowy´s stuff
<BenG83>
but Pine is working on a BSP Ubuntu image
<BenG83>
with help from ayufan and some of their engineers
<BenG83>
I did some battery testing and figured out how to enabled the lid switch
<BenG83>
biggest issue seems to be to get suspend working properly
<tkaiser>
Suspend should be easy. Resume is the interesting part ;)
<BenG83>
the audio drivers actually killed suspend at first
<BenG83>
because audio driver suspend turns off some regulators for analog stuff
<BenG83>
including for the PLLs
