Hello all
<vicpt>
I'm trying to get audio on a A33 tablet board, so far without any success.
<vicpt>
I'm using mainline kernel, have tried to wrote a specific dts for this board with some instructions like &codec{status = "okay";}; &sound{ status = "okay"; };
<vicpt>
Also tried to edit kernel config to enable allwinner soc audio support, still wilthout success
<vicpt>
dmesg says: "ALSA device list: No soundcards found."
victhor has joined #linux-sunxi
<vicpt>
wiki says mainline kernel supports audio on A33 since 4.11 version
<vicpt>
Probably I'm missing something...
<vicpt>
Any ideas?
<anarsoul|2>
vicpt: you probably missing analog codec?
<vicpt>
anarsoul|2: I think I have added it in kernel config
<vicpt>
let me check
<anarsoul|2>
vicpt: you need it in your dts
<vicpt>
oh
<anarsoul|2>
there digital part of codec, analog part of codec and i2s
<vicpt>
like this: " &codec{status = "okay";}" ?
<anarsoul|2>
you need all of them to get audio working
<anarsoul|2>
vicpt: that's probably digital part of codec
<vicpt>
anarsoul|2: Do you have any dts specific for an A33 board, just to take a look?
