<Necrosporus>
ildar, I want to know whenever so called "Always Connected PC", which run on qualcomm 835, 845, 850, 1000 can run GNU/Linux. There is no info in the internets on xda-developers which seem to be primary site about such things
<Necrosporus>
Those devices are already sold, but they are very expensive at the moment
<Necrosporus>
I want to contact somebody who poked one of those already
<ildar>
#elinux and probably OpenWRT is a good community for that
<KotCzarny>
hmm, how is qualcomm related to allwinner?

KotCzarny, well, I also want to know if there are any modern laptop-class computers capable of running GNU/Linux
<Necrosporus>
besides Chromebooks
<Necrosporus>
I mean, those with !x86 processors
<KotCzarny>
pinebook comes to mind

KotCzarny, if we go to low power notebooks there are wm8650 laptops in china

arm is still a bit too weak for current web browsers, especially if you need 2d/3d accel without blobs

and choosing qualcomm usually means you get virtual system running on closed blob hidden os

What's the best way to get a fairly stable test release of Linux 4.20 so I can test out HDMI on an A64 based Pine A64+ sbc?
<anarsoul>
heatfanjohn: wait for 4.20-rc1 to be released?

Please advise, in that application i can get benefit from using 2 dram chips with 32bit bus width. Or single dram chip with 16 bit bus width has same performance? My soc is A20. Thx. Here, https://www.olimex.com/forum/index.php?topic=5725.0 some guy made some tests, but he didnt test in application with gpu usage. Does mali get best performance with dual dram chip?
