<macc24>
it turns out that disabling sram on a gpu is bad
<alyssa>
Ah.
<alyssa>
It seems like we've been needing more of these hacks lately.
<alyssa>
RK3288/RK3399 has always just worked™️ from a kernel perspective..
<macc24>
i've noticed that touch pressure to register finger is too high on duet's keyboard in libinput, and sound is probably missing, it6505 driver needs fixing too
<daniels>
macc24: nice! guess the MTK DT bindings just need updating to actually link the GPU and regulator
<macc24>
and mainline-mainline linux needs dsi and reclocking support for mt8183

<alyssa>
macc24: you fix up that stuff and I'll fix up mesa, deal? 😇 :p
<macc24>
alyssa: is it fine if it's fixed in my linux fork?
<alyssa>
Mainling is hard 🤷
<alyssa>
Pretty sure I've only had one actual commit merged to mainline :p
<macc24>
was panfrost one commit? ;)
<alyssa>
Nope
<alyssa>
I've been uninvolved with panfrost-the-kernel, except as a reviewer.
<alyssa>
Admittedly mesa/panfrost is 10x more code than linux/panfrost so..
<macc24>
huh
<alyssa>
z/
<alyssa>
?
<macc24>
?
<alyssa>
what's the huh for? :)
<macc24>
it was more like "oh that's interesting"
<alyssa>
Oh.
<macc24>
anywaym, i have this stuff fixed in my kernel fork, this was just pulling some patches from bbrezillon and mailing list
<macc24>
"mediatek,mt8183_mt6358_ts3a227_max98357", longest compatible i have ever seen
<alyssa>

<macc24>
huh, wake-on-voice might get to duet soon on chrome os

<Ntemis>
is ogles v3.0 going to be exposed without MESA_PAN_DEBUG in up coming 20.3.x version?
<macc24>
on which gpu?

Ntemis: yes, indeed it has been default for a while and should have been released as such before but the pandemic pushed things out
<alyssa>
(Ordinarily, Mesa releases 4 times a year, so we'd have a 20.4 coming up and 20.3 would've branched in July.)

alyssa: The first release of the year is *.0, so 20.3 is the fourth Mesa release

--What went wrong this year then? I thought we missed a release in the summer/

Then again I don't really pay attention to this sort of thing so I am not a reliable source >:
