tomeu: Bifrost has a TEX_INSTR_COMPRESSED counter which is a subset of TEX_INSTR, though it also counts AFBC (which most otherwise uncompressed textures should be) as compressed

tomeu: do you know if google have bent mtk's arms enough to ensure all the support is upstream? ... my last experiences with mtk were.. well... let's say not so good.

I don't know about any bent arms, but I have seen quite a few mtk people submitting patches in the last year or so
