Hey everyone
<BitPuffin>
I just noticed a small thing about the documentation. I was trying to find the docs about syntax-parse. So I mostly looked in the reference, first at the macro section. But since it wasn't there I gave up and searched for it. And turns out that to find it on the docs home page, it's not under the racket language or core libraries (even though it comes with core), but instead you have to scroll quite far down to syntax
<BitPuffin>
extensions.
<BitPuffin>
So unless you know that syntax-parse exists already and wanna learn more about it and search for it, it seems like chances of discovering it by just casually browsing the docs are pretty small?
<BitPuffin>
syntax-parse is kind of lauded by racket people but beginners can go a long time with racket without discovering it in the docs which is kind of a shame I think

Hello! I've been trying to communicate with a Tor instance over a UNIX socket, and I'm having a bit of trouble. Essentially I'm trying to do the same thing as my netcat example here, but in Racket: https://paste.terracrypt.net/ifubelarid.pl
<jfred>
I'm not super familiar with ports, but... a UNIX socket's input/output ports should behave roughly the same way as the stdin/stdout input/output ports, right?
<jfred>
Tor *should* be writing something to the socket after I send it an AUTHENTICATE command, and it's a line-based protocol, so I thought I should be able to read a line from the response with `read-line` but... I think I'm missing something
<jfred>
I realized that `writeln` didn't escape those quotes like they thought it would, but just tried again with `displayln` instead (which is probably what I actually want here) and got the same thing
