<whitequark> solvespace isn't really a mesh editor.
<GitHub> [solvespace] Evil-Spirit commented on issue #199: @jwesthues, there is no benefit probably. It just brings ability to work with t like we work with dimension (make constraint point-on with t = 0.1, t = 0.2, etc.). When we are introduce ranged constraints (which is just a lot of UI work rather than solver), we can do the next : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4dQ-eBAXx0 https://github.com/solvespace/solvespace/issues/199#issuecomment-280234456

<wpwrak> well, for mesh editing we have meshlab :) but if you have lots of weird angles, patching that together with perpendicular extrusion and union/difference is extremely circuitous, and you easily get lost. would be nice if once could do that in one or two groups, instead of having to scatter it over a dozen, and having to spend hours beforehand planning. (and still get it wrong in the end.)
<whitequark> that's true.
<wpwrak> by the way, when deletion of an item causes group deletion, this usually/always is when that item is the point anchoring the group's workplane, correct ?
