<firstteamm> I do not know where to get this basic data like 1. How many lumens are issued right now and what is the end point of how many lumens there will be. Is there an upper limit like Bitcoin? 2. Is there some trend of price of lumen in use terms say. Plenty more questions that I did not easily get my head around reading yet.
<stellar-slack1>
<firstteamm> In usd terms stand corrected
<stellar-slack1>
<eva> Hey @firstteamm, thanks for the questions. You may find the stats page helpful for the total number of lumens, and who owns them: https://www.stellar.org/stats/ The mandate also has details about lumen creation and distribution. https://www.stellar.org/about/mandate/ At genesis 100 billion lumens were created. There is also a fixed 1% annual rate of new lumen creation.

<firstteamm> Thank you Eva. Next question before I go to the page , about pooling. If I bought some lumen can I add to the pool for future inflation sharing? And should I send to my private key which is equivalent to Bitcoin address ?
<stellar-slack1>
<eva> @firstteamm: there is no “official” pool for inflation; I see you’re already in the #inflation channel here, where some folks are creating one. You’re welcome to join that pool if you wish! You should never send your secret key anywhere; it’s like a password. But if you’re referring to the inflation operation page that the #inflation channel set up, that’s up to you. You’d enter your secret key in

<firstteamm> Oops I mean , I use my public key as address like my coin address in Bitcoin?
<stellar-slack1>
<firstteamm> Is is it called wallet address?
<stellar-slack1>
<eva> It’s called “public key” but yes, it’s similar to the concept of an address in bitcoin. An important difference is that your public key in Stellar will not change, whereas Bitcoin addresses do.
<stellar-slack1>
<firstteamm> If I bought lumens in other exchanges it still goes to same address?
<stellar-slack1>
<eva> Depends on the exchange - if you sent the lumens directly to that public key, then yes.
<stellar-slack1>
<firstteamm> Thank you, I joined the pool yesterday. Now I am off to work.
<stellar-slack1>
<eva> Great, thanks for dropping by, and hope you have a great work day :)
