<agg>
does anyone know if there's any documentation for the ECP5's ALU54B OP input? the sysDSP usage guide and the libraries reference just say "opcode" without elaboration...
<daveshah>
The sim model in Diamond....
<daveshah>
yes this is horrible, I did ask someone at Lattice if they could produce some better docs but I never heard anything back
<agg>
better than nothing, i'll have a look, thanks!
<agg>
should nextpnr generally manage to pack two MULT18X18D and an ALU54 into one DSP slice?
<daveshah>
No, that's not supported yet
<agg>
what will it do instead, just connect them using general routing?
<agg>
this simulation model has whole chunks of verilog just commented out, good stuff
<daveshah>
I think some stuff has to use dedicated routing, so it just won't route
<daveshah>
Depends exactly what you are doing. Some things should fall back to general routing OK
<agg>
thanks, i'll have a play. and dig into this sim model...
