whitequark: The restore ended up taking about 5 hours total, to get all the apps reinstalled, etc. — I had a lot of apps that needed restoration, and it's not as simple as a disk image. Plus there were difficulties due to the fact I never set it up properly with my Mac

So it kept trying to sync outdated info from my Mac to my phone
