<electronic_eel>
rwhitby: been looking at your silkscreen work - wow, that looks nice
<electronic_eel>
i especially like the schematics like part with the data and sbus lines, the shifters and so on
<electronic_eel>
the only thing that isn't immediately obvious and requires some more thinking from me to grasp the idea is the vbus jumper block J9
<electronic_eel>
i think one part of this is the additional indirection of "OUT", you have to look at the top silk to see that it is vbus of the snoop port
<electronic_eel>
i know that you don't have the space to write "snoop vbus" and "target vbus" everywhere
<electronic_eel>
so i don't have an easy solution yet
<electronic_eel>
oh, i just see that you have "out" and "vbus" labeled in the schematics part on the back too

<rwhitby> The hardest thing was shifting things around to avoid the vias.
<electronic_eel>
you are using 0.3mm drill vias. when you tent them with soldermask they will in most cases not break the silkscreen lines
<electronic_eel>
but in some spots it can happen, so avoiding them when possible is better of course
<d1b2>
<DX-MON> additionally, you can overlay text (such as the center of a 0) around the center of a via and because of the tenting it will be fine
<d1b2>
<DX-MON> looks good though
<d1b2>
<rwhitby> Yeah, did that in a couple of places.
<d1b2>
<DX-MON> I like how clearly you show the jumper settings for sink/source and so on
<d1b2>
<rwhitby> Thx
<d1b2>
<rwhitby> I'm pretty happy with the result. Took a week of thinking 😋
<d1b2>
<DX-MON> aye, that happens
<d1b2>
<rwhitby> What I would really like to do is a streaming session where I explain every part of the schematic to someone. I always find my mistakes when I explain to someone else, and it would be a good introductory video for a new user.
<d1b2>
<DX-MON> well, lucky for you.. I'm prep'ing to embark on a grunt stream on MXKeyboard shortly so if you're up for it.. I'm happy to listen/watch and ask dumb questions 🙂
