<Noxz> he has an awesome setup
<Noxz> for a garage

<Noxz> currently looking at 2 diaphragm pumps, both state 2mbar, one states ptfe diaphragms (which is great) but I cant fin too much info on the other one regarding that but this other one is 3x as fast.. so would certainly want it just for that
<Noxz> rebuild kits (flapper valves, o rings, and diaphragms) are rather expensive though, but the one manual I got stated good for 10k hrs
<Noxz> so likely decent vacuum if it appears in good shape
<Noxz> both places did only basic power on and if pulled a vacuum, no gauge
<Noxz> so I could likley make a shotty offer due to no testing
<Noxz> oh, the slower one is also DC, which means easy variable (why would you ever want to go lower speed??) and owudl require a DC power supply (easy)

<Noxz> I see people writing papers with this as a backing pump and getting 3*10^-6 mbar
<Noxz> with their setup, that may have leaks
<sync> which is not a lot depending on what you want to do
<sync> we try to get base pressures of 10^-11mbar
<Noxz> it's a start though, and that is with zero oil contamination issues
<Noxz> also, who is 'we' ?
<Noxz> and the idea of two turbos is interesting
<Noxz> let's offer something for this higher volume one.. why not
<Noxz> if that fails then I'll query the other guy about the DC one
<Noxz> wow, seemed they declined a little too soon, like 1s after I submitted
<Noxz> I wonder if that is automated for them or not
<Noxz> meh, let''s bump it up slightly and see how long the decline will take
<Noxz> declined immedietly
<Noxz> wtf
<Noxz> autodeclined again
<Noxz> lol, autodeclined again, apparently I Have one more chance
<Noxz> starting to not be too worth it, for an unknown vacuum level and an expensive rebuild kit..
<Noxz> let's try 90% of the orig price, that's still feasable... maybe.. *gulp* .. same price there abouts as the slower capacity DC one.. which has the only advantage of slowing down when higher vacuum is atained for sound/vibration reasons, I doubt any AC interferance would be an issue at this point
<Noxz> there's still a buy-it-now for it incase this doesnt go through, but I sort of want to pull the trigger on this
<Noxz> declined, lol
<Noxz> that was a few penies higher than 90% of the offer
<Noxz> BIN*
<Noxz> if they wont take 10% off, damn
<Noxz> I sent a message stating my woes with offering, we'll see
<Noxz> I would like that one more than the other (DC, 1/3 the speed/volume)
<Noxz> but not properly tested, hrmph
<Noxz> emailed the one place that has a rebuild kit to see if they know what material the stuff is made out of, FPM/PTFE like most others in the line or something of lower quality
