<mack->
you might also try a fresh SD card and raspbian
<Lisa1902190>
Yeah thats the only way I guess
<mack->
I sort of assumed w_scan was in one of the system addons like pitools or dvbtools
<Lisa1902190>
It was working all along and suddenly it goes off with a clue even in my logs which completely baffled me
<mack->
yep, right there in dvb-tools addon.
<Lisa1902190>
Really?Wow
<mack->
I'm assuming you've tried forcing a rescan of the channels
<mack->
(not familiar with dvb-t2.. I assuming you have to scan like with atsc)

I am on DVB T2, I can Force a Scan, but I suspect its the homemade antenna, But the logs won't have the tell tale signs of a faulty antenna right?
<mack->
and I only see youtube videos failing to play in your kodi log you linked. No mention of a pvr addon anywhere past the loading message.
<mack->
w_scan failing could point to antenna trouble.

I think there are some raspbian tools that would help troubleshoot signal strength easier, but I've never used a raspberry for tv reception.
<Lisa1902190>
youtube videos failing ?? It plays very well all the time.
<Lisa1902190>
On the Lan I've got atleast 4 devices to stream off the Pi without a jerk.....
<Lisa1902190>
PVR ADD ON works as a client to the TVHEADEND server. Right now the server isn't set to receive the signal. Once it does and the PVR Client is used, I'd imagine only then the logs would mention the PVR addon
<mack->
the error messages from the youtube plugin could be where it works around a problem and still plays okay due to the buffer.
<Lisa1902190>
Oh OK
<mack->
ah, since you linked your kodi log, I assumed you were trying to play things :)
<Lisa1902190>
I am using a remote machine to set up the TVHEADEND Server as the Pi is connected to the TV without any keyboard
<mack->
you'd want to be looking into tvheadend logs to troubleshoot. I'm assuming you can at least connect to the server?
<mack->
I've never used it or even installed it, so I don't know how to get logs =)
<Lisa1902190>
:)
<Lisa1902190>
Do you have alternatives to TVHEADEND?
<Lisa1902190>
Which are OpenSource

I personally use MythTV. kodi just acts as a frontend. The MythTV server does all the heavy lifting
<mack->
since your tuner is tied to a raspberry pi, you wouldn't not have a good experience with a Pi as a backend server.
<mack->
^for MythTV
<mack->
there is a MythTV Light build for Raspbian, which some people report works okay.
