On https://test.libreelec.tv/ it says "Feedback is welcome via the forum", but it is not mentioned which one? I'm just looking at the cubox-q and there doesn't seem to be any discussion about it even though there are regularly being new images build.

ChriChri: Just create a thread under the main section, there's no specific section for test images
<chewitt>
and probably only a handful of people using the iMX6 images
<chewitt>
building is done automatically.. no human input
<chewitt>
don't confuse frequency of new images as being any form of indicator on someone maintaining iMX6 things, it's semi-abandoned

chewitt: O.k. thanks for the information. It looks not that bad, though. I'm listening to online radio on a cubox atm :).
<chewitt>
upstream support is in a reasonable state for most devices (not all, but most)
<chewitt>
so not much work for us to do
<chewitt>
(in theory)
<ChriChri>
I'm wondering whether imx8 will be given a start sometimes... I'd guess that the Purism Librem5 people will run in almost the same problems as one would building a base for kodi...
<chewitt>
it would be fairly simple to support, but there's no consumer devices that use it
<chewitt>
only expensive stuff
<chewitt>
one of our devs has hardware - it's the display from the back of an airplane seat
<vpeter>
There are still duplicated images for imx6 :( Did anyone heard for SPL :-) Or mainline u-boot doesn't support this functionality? Which would be a shame.
<ChriChri>
chewitt: Hardware - cubox pulse. In my opinion the most beautiful piece of LibreElec(could be) hardware around at the moment.
<ChriChri>
Also: When Librem5 starts shipping, why not use its convergence (at least announced) feature to plug it into a TV/monitor and run kodi on it ;-).
<vpeter>
Why waste money on such an expensive device which was not meant for ordinary users?

vpeter: No tinkering needed. Exactly fits my needs: toslink, hdmi, not much more. Performant. Similar to Librem5 (competence can be used on both). Will get less expensive by time ;-). Alternatives?
<ChriChri>
vpeter: Now I'm running a cubox i2 (partly thanks to your? image). Works great, great design. A cubox-q is running an actual build (running on test as radio). I have a rock64 which is a incredible device and the only reason it can't compete with the Pulse is the size and case design. Well, it's really stylish in its acrylic case. Another great plus is the available toslink/spdif board. The price is unbeaten.
<ChriChri>
O.k. maybe a rock64 is the better device. I'm thinking about putting it in place of my main device the cubox i2.
<ChriChri>
A rockpro64 didn't keep up to my expectations, yet, because the support still is not that good. https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/21470-rockpro64-spdif-toslink/ . Also it is not that easy to extend with toslink/spdif. I was hoping to get a device of which I could eventually use the 7"-lcd for controlling it, which would be quiet cool and could be really child compatible.
