The Kodi GUI and video playback on my new rpi4 is dark. The TV brightness is unchanged from before (the TV OSD menu is bright). Is there a trick to make the Pi normal brightness?

Hey guys, I have a question regarding audio. I want to have my spdif input always listening, and output to my speakers. How do I configure this? The goal is, if I'm using another streaming device connected to my TV via HDMI, the TV connects to the USB sound card on its SPDIF input, and that is connected to my 5.1 surround speakers.,

howdy

so I've updated to that sweet sweet 4k 10bit TV, and I wonder what should I replace my aging odroid-c2 with to run libreleec on it.
<thresh>
I would like to be able to watch those sweet 4k60p HDR videos without too much noise/power consumption.
<thresh>
what would be the best smallest device to do that, if that exists?

The only Single Board Computers that I am aware of with 4k is the Raspberry Pi 4 series, ideally with the larger RAM editions
<thresh>
let's say I'm fine with the box not being able to decode AV1, for now.
<thresh>
what about HDR? is that supported on rpi4 too?
<pragmaticenigma>
I would encourage you to do your own research to find the best option that fits your needs. There are a lot of different boards out there, but 4k is still relatively new on the market. HDR even newer.
<thresh>
thanks pragmaticenigma, that's exactly what I'm doing :-)
<pragmaticenigma>
I mean do the leg work yourself, this is really intended to be a support channel, to help others with problems with their installations.

<pletopia>
look at Vero 4k+
<pletopia>
out of the box works perfect for me .. just wish it was a bit faster
<pletopia>
heard the rpi4 is faster but haven't tested that yet
<pletopia>
i'm trying to get my new odroid-h2+ up and running. there has been some progress with getting intel based 4k HDR working and there is a dev branch of LE that should work on that chip
