<lennyraposo>
I am running a bit of an experiment with the BSP 2 provided by allwinner
<lennyraposo>
to see fi their Mali drivers work with that ;)
<lennyraposo>
no changes
<lennyraposo>
just pure AllWinner stuff
<lennyraposo>
will let you know what I discovered
<lennyraposo>
;)

wens, mripard, maybe we should discuss the LOSC topic with Emilio Lopez in a new thread, maybe inside linux-sunxi, for it's not actually an RTC problem? he is the maintainer of drivers/clk/sunxi

<f4th0m>
Hello
<f4th0m>
I am trying to get pulseaudio working on a bpi m1+, under bananian linux
<f4th0m>
After installation and configuration I have realized that it has no init script or anything that would really start the deamon
<f4th0m>
plus it's not supposed to run under root (which it does not also)
<f4th0m>
Anybody any idea, how to get pulseaudio working on m1+?
<plaes>
can't you just `apt-get install pulseaudio` ?
<f4th0m>
plaes, yes that works, but after that, there is nothing in the system which would really run it
<f4th0m>
so pulse is installed
<f4th0m>
also I have added some configuration to /etc/asound.conf
<f4th0m>
to have it use pulse
<KotCzarny>
who would want evilaudio on their system? really.
<f4th0m>
KotCzarny, anyone who wants a linux based media center, with torrent server and such.
<KotCzarny>
um, not true
<KotCzarny>
alsa is enough
<f4th0m>
On ALSA it's working nice, but I need one more thing
<f4th0m>
that is I want to export sound from laptops around
<f4th0m>
to the speaker controlled by the banana pi
<KotCzarny>
sound or just want bpi to act as a media player?
<BenG83>
I got a question about device tree overlays, do I need a special kernel configuration for dynamic device tree support?

<mnr>
apritzel: I have just read your comment in the Olimex blog regarding adding a small SPI flash chip to the A64-Olinuxino to store SPL/ATF/u-boot.
<mnr>
apritzel: What is the exact boot order on the A64? The wiki states "boots from FEL if no SD card is present", but when does it try the SPI flash?
<apritzel>
(which works like a charm for me atm with a SPI NOR flash connected to some header pins on the Pine64)
<apritzel>
on the A64 it's: MMC2 (eMMC), MMC0 (SD card), SPI flash, USB-OTG
<apritzel>
if I haven't forgotten anything
<mnr>
Ok, then a broken SPI flash content (as in: has a valid boot signature but broken SPL/u-boot) wouldn't brick the system.
<apritzel>
yes
<apritzel>
and the BROM carries on if it doesn't find the Allwinner magic on MMC
<apritzel>
so a normal SD card would be skipped
<apritzel>
but you could unbrick/boot your board by using an SD card with the firmware on SD
