can I get a tq144 packaged hx4k working in nextpnr-ice40? it seems to allow hx1k in tq144 and hx8k in ct256 but not 4k (or 8k) in tq144?

as usual, figured it out just after asking, use tq144:4k package

Yes. The reason for the lack of a 4k device per se is that the 4k devices are really 8k silicon
