Interesting.. those registers accessed in the macvdmtool appears to match registers in the TPS65986 technical reference manual. Except for 0x4d (rx status) which is marked as "reserved, not allocated and return a length of 0" in the document i'm reading. :) so cool that you can actually access this stuff from userspace
