But I'm not sure if I have disabled SIP.
<Glanzmann>
marvin24_: If they have an arm build, probably yes.
<Glanzmann>
mats: If they ahve an arm build, probably yes, otherweise just use debian, it has all the packages, kali has.

davidrysk[m]: so that's why the guide disappeared earlier
<nicolas17>
(it was giving 404 for a while)
<nicolas17>
lots of updated stuff wow
<davidrysk[m]>
hah
<davidrysk[m]>
yeah this covers M1
<davidrysk[m]>
I see they implemented some measures against bootrom vulns

<nicolas17>
the secure enclave section was greatly expanded beyond M1
<nicolas17>
at least since last time I looked there :p

they're describing all the fields in the LocalPolicy here

tpw_rules: I think not
<davidrysk[m]>
the guide says that Page Protection Layer is not in place on macOS
<modwizcode>
That express cards with power reserve thing is actually a pretty cool idea
<modwizcode>
Those docs are slightly more detailed than I would expect apple to normally give
<davidrysk[m]>
that doesn't make sense though because all arm64 code on macOS must be signed, even if only ad-hoc signed
<nicolas17>
modwizcode: when Apple Pay was first added, I read about people paying max fee in the London subway because they used it to enter and ran out of battery during the trip and couldn't use it to check out
<nicolas17>
express card fixes that :)
<Shiz>
"This protection isn’t offered in macOS because PPL is only applicable on systems where all executed code must be signed." :)
raster has joined #asahi
<davidrysk[m]>
Shiz: but all executed code on macOS is signed!
<davidrysk[m]>
(on M1)
<Shiz>
not really
