hi - does anyone know how to add rt2800usb module in kernel configuration for linux-sunxi-3.4 kernel ? normally i would select ralink support within device drivers->network device support->ralink driver support->ralink rt27xx/rt28xx/rt30xx (USB) support - but in this case there is no "ralink driver support" within wireless lan but the directory drivers/net/wireless/rt2x00 does exist - any idea?

okay thanks for attention - i found the solution - within networking support -> wireless -> mac80211 wasn't enabled - so when enabled - ralink is possible ;)

dragonn: I believe the power controller limits current at USB device ports to 500mA, might have to take power for a metal platter disk from somewhere else

well no succes, I think the usb ports isn't directly connect to the power source and this will made the problem :/ that the port can not give 0.8A to the HDD at spin up, well I will try to made a adapter with allows to power the usb hdd from the sata power

I've just now pushed an image using FEL mode + LiveSuit on Xubuntu 64 bit

when board is off and you keep pressed FEL button and attach the USB-OTG on computer (only that, and not power cable) the cubieboard START and enter in a special CPU mode called FEL MODE
